Battery Saver Kit is supplied complete, and ready to install in your Vanagon. How many times have you forgotten to switch
your headlight switch OFF when you left your Vanagon parked for an extended period, only to return to a dead battery? This
has happened to me more than once, and working swing shift makes things even worse. I arrive at the BART station around 10AM,
normally daylight, and get back to the station at 930PM, normally dark. Wasting time trying to find a Good Samaritan, and
messing around with jumper cables is really not fun, after working a ten hour shift, and trying to get back home. The "Bat
Saver" will remind you to click that headlight switch with an audible beeping alarm for ten seconds. After that it assumes
that you want to leave the lights on for some reason, and shuts off. Especially nice if you drive in with your lights on for
safety reasons, rain, or fog, when the lights are difficult to see from outside your van. The board mounts just under the
instrument cluster cover on your speedometer housing. Three supplied wires connect the Battery Saver to your headlight switch
and one ground screw which simplifies the installation process. The circuit is isolated from your wiring with two 5A FB
fuses, and a 7805 regulator. All required connector, splices, and wires are included for this kit to install on all Vanagons.
